Build with AI
AI helps at every step from brief to release plan. A person stays accountable for the result.
AI at every step
Everyone uses AI throughout the work, not only engineers. Product uses it to draft project briefs and to build high-fidelity designs and proofs of concept. Engineers use it for requirements, stories, estimates, code, tests and release plans.
AI makes each step faster, but it doesn't change who is responsible. People own the quality of every step: the brief, the design, the plan and the code. The engineer who opens a pull request owns everything in it. See AI at KODE for the tools we use and how we use them safely.
A second agent reviews the code
Before opening a pull request, engineers usually run a local AI review with a different agent from the one that helped write the code. A second agent catches things the first one missed.
AI review is an extra input. It never replaces engineering judgment or a human review. See AI at KODE.
Working together while we build
Day-to-day collaboration happens in Linear project and issue comments, and often in a Slack channel for the project. Decisions that change scope, timing, ownership or release behavior get recorded in Linear. See Communication.
